What time of day is best for outdoor photos?
I try my best to only shoot outdoor photos during golden hour or at times that sun is not super harsh. To achieve the glowing golden skin tones it is best to shoot outdoors an hour before sunrise or an hour before sunset.
What should I wear to a photo session?
Neutral colors photograph best! The color of your shirt will impact skin tones. Solid colors to avoid are bright white, bright red, neon colors, black and dark blue. If you have any questions please reach out. If you are trying to coordinate outfits for a family session I am more than happy to send suggestions.
Do you offer discounts?
Yes! Please follow me on social media! I do offer promotional discounts and contests on social medial.
Every year I offer Fall Mini Sessions and Santa Mini Sessions. I also occsassionally offer Boudoir Mini Sessions. Mini Sessions are shorter time slots at a set location on a set day. This allows me to book customers back to back an offer discounted rates.
Do I have to sign a photo consent form?
No. I do have photo consent listed in my contract however I understand that some photos are private. If you do not wish for me to use your photos in my portfolio, website, social media or in any advertising please let me know ahead of time and I can provide a revised contract to you.
If I need to cancel can I use my deposit towards a future session?
Yes. Though the deposit is non refundable it can be put towards a future session of any type. I give my clients 1yr to rebook.
Why do costs vary so widely with different photographers?
Every photographer has to consider their cost of doing business, experience and target audience when creating their price lists. A new photographer who is portfolio building may charge a bit less than an established photographer with higher end equipment and who has a registered and insured business and tax license.
Do you charge Sales Tax?
Absolutely! Though Photography is a service digital photos are considered a tangible item in the State of Colorado. The $100 deposit/session fee is not taxed however the balance for the digital photos and all products are taxed.
Can I make payments?
Absolutely! $100 is due to hold the time slot and balance is due a week before the photo session. You can however pay the balance in payments.
